Here you can see my final collection for my Ryerson Fashion Program, it was a labour of love. It tells the story of a selfish king who has died and left his kingdom in ruin to be repaired by his wife (mother nature) and their daughters each living in a different region representing the four seasons. After many trials and realizing that they need each other in order to be successful they are able to come together and reunite the kingdom with their mother and thus it is able to enter its REAWAKENING! The collection addresses different aspects of costume from stage presentation to cleanup and care. The collection also looked at the use of traditional vs. modern sewing techniques and applications such as custom designed laser cut flowers and leaves and snowflakes each individually sewn on, sequins are used instead of glittery materials and there is a wide variety of textures throughout. please enjoy my fairy tale collection "Reawakening"
